Rando Aso: Earthscape

Nonaka-Hill京都では、土と火の原初的な関係を起点に、野焼きや黒陶などの焼成方法を通して、空間と造形の関係を探る阿曽藍人（1983年）の新作展「Earthscape」を開催いたします。本展では、多面体の無指向性スピーカーを手がける日本のスピーカーブランドlistudeとの初の試みにより、阿曽が作品を通して考えてきた「空間」を音へと拡張し、作品と音が響き合う空間そのものをつくり出します。

2026年にはパラミタミュージアム（三重）で開催された「第20回パラミタ陶芸大賞展」、現在は台湾・新北市立鶯歌陶瓷博物館で開催中の「2026 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale」に参加するなど、国内外で精力的に発表を続けています。

Nonaka-Hill Kyoto is pleased to present Earthscape, an exhibition of new work by Rando Aso (b. 1983). Beginning with the elemental relationship between earth and fire, Aso explores the relationship between form and space through firing techniques including field firing and smudge firing. For this exhibition, Aso’s first collaboration with Japanese speaker brand listude uses their polyhedral omnidirectional speakers to extend his exploration of space through sound throughout the gallery.

In 2026, Aso participated in the 20th Paramita Ceramic Art Grand Prize Exhibition at the Paramita Museum in Mie, and is currently participating in the 2026 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale at the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan.
